Welcome to the Navigating Chinese Level One (汉语领航：一级) course! In this program, you will take your first steps in understanding Chinese. As you make your way through the course, you will find a bunch of different activities to help you learn. Each chapter complements the course textbook. As a part of this course, you are receiving the eTextbook for free. In the file, you can take notes, have the book read to you if you need to use assistive devices such as a screen reader, and you can even turn the pages like an actual textbook to make it feel more realistic.
Each lesson in this course will follow the format below:
- Lesson/ Chapter Introduction
- Required Reading from the Textbook. This textbook is embedded within each lesson of the course material. You can either download it directly or just access the book from within each lesson itself.
- Vocabulary Practice Activities
- Lecture Videos and Supplemental Introductory Linguistics Videos (as applicable)
- A Short Lesson/Chapter Quiz (as applicable)
You will also have two mock exams and review opportunities before you take the final assessment. This course will be rigorous, but if you put time and effort into it, you will do great!
